Artist Talk: Jo de Pear

Join us at Bowhouse on 15th August at 2pm for Cyanotypes and Seaweeds, a talk exploring the delicate art of capturing coastal flora through the cyanotype process, held alongside our landmark exhibition Land & Sea.

The talk will be led by Jo de Pear

Jo de Pear is a multi-disciplinary printmaker known for using unique combinations of printmaking processes. Working in Antigua, she creates tropically themed pieces using the cyanotype process, casting shadows from tropical leaves and sea corals onto light-sensitive paper before developing them with water. Her botanical cyanotypes have an ethereal quality, while her sea fans are more graphic and archival. Jo will be sharing more about her practice and process in her talk, Cyanotypes and Seaweeds.
