Introduction to seaweed paper-making workshop - Cally

Book your place here and join us at Bowhouse for an introductory talk about seaweed paper-making, taking place over the weekend of 22nd and 23rd August. This session gives you a first look at what's in store: https://events.humanitix.com/introduction-to-seaweed-paper-making-workshop-cally

After a career in journalism, public relations and fundraising, Cally took on a new challenge in 2018, doing something she'd always loved as a child, making things. She went on to complete a Master's Degree in Fine Art & Humanities at Duncan of Jordanstone Art College, Dundee University, with Distinction in 2021. Her main material is washed-up seaweed, which she lets speak with its own voice, combined with other waste materials to explore the interdependency between human and non-human life. She was shortlisted for a John Byrne Award in 2023, with her work described as intertwining the natural and industrial in a new and arresting way.
