Join us at Bowhouse on 15th August at 12 noon for a talk by Paul Kenny exploring how the textures, forms and materials of the coastline can be transformed into striking photographic images.
Born in 1951 and educated in Salford, Paul Kenny completed his Fine Art Degree at Newcastle upon Tyne in 1975 and has been developing his work as an artist and photographer for over fifty years, represented by galleries including The Fine Art Society, Purdy Hicks and Huxley Parlour, with work held in collections such as The V&A and The National Gallery of Scotland. His ongoing body of work, Seaworks, is made on or about shorelines, seeking to find the awe-inspiring in that which is easily passed by, and to evoke fragility, ecology, beauty and transience in the landscape.
